Amazing game
A fantastic co-op game—unlike anything else seen in VR—that is hard to pin down to a single genre. By day, you sail to islands, gather materials, explore dungeons, and find valuable items and weapons. At night, you defend the lighthouse against monsters. It’s great fun with a fairly steep learning curve that encourages you to replay contracts—a process that is actually very enjoyable. 5 stars.
Great game
Finally a proper coop survival on Quest <3
Crazy potential
The devs really nailed the gameplay loop here. The Day/Night routine is perfect and immediately sucks you into an addiction lol. I do have 1 major complaint though, and that’s the combat. Melee weapons feel like I’m swinging Gumby, and firearm mechanics are pretty average. There’s no weight or feel or to any of the weapons. Better sound effects would definitely help in this area as well. I’ve only completed the first contract so I can’t really go much deeper yet other than to say the game IS addicting as heck and I highly recommend it. This game feels like it has endless possibilities to continue with content updates, paid or free dlc, matters not to me. I sincerely hope this is just the beginning of this games future. Thanks for a great game devs! …But do please work on the combat aspects ;) Update: One minor complaint: playing solo can be pretty daunting. Exploring an island and getting back in time to set up some defenses are nearly impossible. Is there any way to increase the daytime for solo players at least? Even just 5 mins longer would be helpful.

Beta to Better!
The crew at Spectral Games continues to improve. I spent a relative lifetime playing Medieval Dynasty with my brothers, and while it was a bit unpolished, the charm factor was off the charts. So I've been waiting for Lightkeepers for a while. I was lucky enough to be part of the beta test. I was hoping for more nautical adventures on the sea, but that part of the game turned out to be a small portion of the action. The game is literally a tower defense game, and by "tower" I mean lighthouse. You form up a party in the amazing hub world (so many goofy mini games to try!) and sail to the island where you'll find the lighthouse during the day period of the game. You could spend all your time running around this island picking up loot, and solving cryptic puzzles, but the clock is ticking toward nightfall. You will need to journey to other small islands and get better loot, weapons and materials to use as armour for your lighthouse. Metal and wood create barricades and reinforce the walls, which you'll need to do because as soon as the foghorn blows, you'll realize you've been preoccupied with trivial matters. Within minutes, the darkening sea will churn with slimy sea creatures who come ashore and attempt to destroy your beacon of light. You can engage them with hand-to-hand weapons, or blast them with guns and grenades, but they are relentless, and the lighthouse will slowly become corrupted with slime that you must chase away with lanterns. It's insane. It's hard. But if you live through the night, you get rewards that allow you to come back stronger tomorrow. And so it goes. I don't like tower defense games, but I love anything nautical and co-operative, so I'll get over my issues. My critiques are few; better weapon handling, some UI issues, and maybe more clarity on how to get started. I also wish we had more time during the day to explore and more activities on the boat, but that would diminish the gameplay loop, so I'll shut up about that. Overall, this is a game to watch as it continues to develop. I hope it's a hit and that Spectral Games continues their path of excellence.
